Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 August 2026 · Effective date: August 2025

This Privacy Policy governs how Mass Fitness (operated by Siddhant Sawan, registered at Sardar Patel Colony, Patna, Bihar) collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information from users of massfitness.in and the Mass Fitness mobile application.

01

Information we collect

We may collect the following when you make a purchase, create an account, or contact us:

  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • Billing / shipping address
  • Payment information (processed securely via third-party payment gateways)
  • Health and fitness goals you voluntarily provide
  • Your answers to the free self-assessment, and the score calculated from them
  • Your conversations with the in-app fitness assistant, including anything about your body or training you choose to type into it
  • Browser type, operating system, and browsing behaviour (non-personal)

Three of these deserve to be spelt out rather than left inside a list, because of what they are:

  • Health and fitness information. Your assessment answers, your current and target weight, your body fat percentage, any injury or health condition you tell us about, any medication you mention, and the meals you tick off against your plan. This is sensitive information and we treat it as such: it is used to plan your training and nothing else, and it is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared outside the people named in section 05.
  • Camera and microphone. Live classes are video classes, so joining one uses your camera and microphone. The stream is live only. We do not record, livestream or transcribe classes— recording is switched off explicitly in our video provider’s configuration, not merely left unused. Nothing from your camera or microphone is stored by us at any point. You can join with your camera off.
  • Device and notification identifiers. If you use the mobile app and allow notifications, we store the push token your device issues. It identifies a device rather than a person, but it is a persistent identifier and we count it as personal data. It is used only to send you the reminders described in section 04.
02

How we use your information

  • To process and fulfil your programme enrolment or order
  • To send order confirmations, updates, and training materials
  • To respond to customer service enquiries
  • To send promotional emails if you have opted in (unsubscribe at any time)
  • To analyse user behaviour and improve our platform experience
  • To personalise the workout and diet plans assigned to you
  • To share your self-assessment answers and score with the coach who trains you, once you join a training group — so they can plan around your goals, experience and any limitations you told us about
  • Whether or not you join, the owner of Mass Fitness can see the assessments submitted through the site, including anything you told us about medication or a health condition. Other staff see your score and summary, and are shown that a health condition was declared without being shown what it is

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it. Nothing you tell us about your body is used for anything other than coaching you.

03

The fitness assistant

The in-app assistant is an AI chatbot. Your messages to it, and its replies, are stored against your account and used to:

  • Answer you — your message is sent to our AI provider to generate a reply
  • Support you if you contact us about something you discussed with it
  • Improve the AI coach, including reviewing what members ask so we can make its answers better and, in future, train our own model on it
  • Detect and prevent misuse of the service

Please do not type anything into it you would not want stored. It is not a doctor and must not be used for medical questions — it is instructed to decline them.

Conversations are deleted 12 months after they take place. You can ask us to delete yours sooner, at any time, using the contact details below.

04

The mobile app

The Mass Fitness Android app is a way into the same account as the website. It holds no separate profile and no separate copy of your data — everything below describes access the app asks your phone for, not a new collection of information.

  • Camera and microphone— requested only when you join a live class, and only for the duration of that class. Nothing is recorded. Android will ask you before the first use and you can refuse or revoke it in your phone’s settings; the rest of the app works without it.
  • Notifications — if you allow them, we send you class reminders, membership renewal notices and messages from your coach. Allowing notifications means your device issues us a push token, which we store against your account so we know where to send them. Turn notifications off and the token is discarded on our side the next time your device rejects a message.
  • Sign-in— the app signs you in by emailing you a link and a six-digit code, or through Google. There is no password. Your session is stored on your device by the operating system’s secure storage.

The app does not access your contacts, your photos, your location, your call logs, your other installed apps, or any health data held by your phone or another fitness app.

05

Information sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information with trusted third-party service providers who help operate our website, process payments, and deliver services — subject to confidentiality agreements — or when required by law.

The categories of provider we rely on, and what each of them receives:

  • Hosting and database — the account itself, and everything in it
  • Payment gateways — your name, contact details and the amount; we never see or store your card or UPI credentials
  • Email delivery — your email address and the content of the message we are sending you
  • Video conferencing — your display name and your live audio and video for the length of a class, none of which is recorded
  • Our AI provider — the messages you send the fitness assistant
  • Push notification delivery (Firebase Cloud Messaging), for the app — your device's push token and the content of the notification
06

Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

07

Your rights

  • Access and update your personal information by contacting us directly
  • Opt out of promotional emails at any time via the unsubscribe link
  • Request deletion of your fitness assistant conversations without closing your account
  • Withdraw camera, microphone or notification permission at any time in your phone's settings, without losing your account

Deleting your account. You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from the app (Dashboard → Your account → Delete my account) or from massfitness.in/dashboard/account. If you can no longer sign in, email us from the address on the account and we will do it for you within 30 days. Full details are on the account deletion page.

It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. Erased at once:

  • Your name, email address and phone number
  • Your training goal and everything you answered in the assessment — targets, injuries, anything you told us about a health condition
  • Every conversation you had with the fitness assistant
  • Your diet plan and the meals you logged against it
  • Your place on your group's roster, and any reminders queued for you

Two categories of record survive, because we are required to keep them:

  • A record that each payment happened — the amount, the date and the gateway's referenceIndian law requires a business to keep its books of account and the vouchers behind them for eight years (Companies Act 2013 s.128; Income-tax Rules r.6F). We cannot delete a payment record and still have books.
  • Which coach you trained under, and between which datesCoaches are paid from this. Deleting it would retroactively change a payout that has already been approved and settled.

None of what we keep identifies you. Once your account is deleted those records are attached to an account number with no name, email or phone behind it.

Those records are held for 8 years from the end of the relevant financial year and then deleted. Deletion is refused while a membership is still running or an unconverted deposit is outstanding — cancel or settle it first, so that nobody deletes an account they are still paying for.
