Delete your account

Last updated: August 2026

You can delete your Mass Fitness account yourself, at any time, from either the app or the website. This page explains how, exactly what is erased, and the one category of record we are legally required to keep.

01

How to delete it

  • In the app:Dashboard → Your account → Delete my account.
  • On the website: sign in and open massfitness.in/dashboard/account.
  • If you can’t sign in any more: email fitnessbymass@gmail.com from the address on the account, or message us on WhatsApp from the number on it, and we’ll do it for you. We’ll act within 30 days and confirm when it’s done.

It happens immediately. There is no waiting period, no restore window and no way for us to undo it — sign up again later and it is a new account with nothing in it.

02

What is erased

Deleted straight away, permanently:

  • Your name, email address and phone number
  • Your training goal and everything you answered in the assessment — targets, injuries, anything you told us about a health condition
  • Every conversation you had with the fitness assistant
  • Your diet plan and the meals you logged against it
  • Your place on your group's roster, and any reminders queued for you
03

What we keep, and why

Two things survive, and neither of them names you. Google Play allows a business to retain records it is legally required to hold, provided it says which and why. These are ours:

  • A record that each payment happened — the amount, the date and the gateway's referenceIndian law requires a business to keep its books of account and the vouchers behind them for eight years (Companies Act 2013 s.128; Income-tax Rules r.6F). We cannot delete a payment record and still have books.
  • Which coach you trained under, and between which datesCoaches are paid from this. Deleting it would retroactively change a payout that has already been approved and settled.

None of what we keep identifies you. Once your account is deleted those records are attached to an account number with no name, email or phone behind it.

These records are kept for 8 years from the end of the relevant financial year, then deleted with everything else from that year.

04

Before you can delete

Two situations stop the button working, both because deleting would cost you money rather than save you anything:

  • A membership that is still running. Cancel it first — we won't delete an account somebody is still paying for. Message us if you want a refund and we'll settle it before you go.
  • A deposit you've paid for an intake that hasn't started. Message us to convert it or take the deposit back, and the option unlocks.

Coach and support accounts cannot be self-deleted at all: they carry class history and payout records that have to be handed over rather than erased. Message the owner and it will be done properly.

05

The rest of your rights

Deleting the whole account is the biggest hammer. You can also ask us to delete just your conversations with the fitness assistant, or to correct anything we hold, without closing the account — see the privacy policy, section 06.
